Dans quelques jours, je vais fêter mes 29 ans.

J'aimerais inviter chacun·e d'entre vous qui en a les moyens à faire un don à des causes qui me tiennent à cœur, via cette cagnotte d'anniversaire 🎁

Cette année est particulièrement spéciale, puisque ça fait 10 ans que je suis investie dans la cause animale.

Mon objectif est de récolter 15 dollars pour chaque année de mon nouvel âge, c'est-à-dire 435 dollars ! *Je match tous les dons dépassant l'objectif* (donc si la cagnotte atteint 535$, je contribuerai moi-même à hauteur de 100$).

Participer à cette cagnotte est une manière facile de me faire plaisir, tout en soutenant des organisations spécialisées dans la cause animale. La somme récoltée sera distribuée entre trois associations dont j'apprécie particulièrement le travail, qui ont été reconnues pour leur transparence et leur efficacité :

• Animal Advocacy Africa (40%), dont l’objectif est de soutenir et renforcer les moyens d'action des animalistes qui travaillent à réduire la souffrance des animaux d'élevage dans les pays africains. J’ai récemment été choquée de découvrir que selon les projections de la FAO, la population d'animaux d'élevage terrestres en Afrique passera de 2,6 milliards en 2012 à 9,4 milliards en 2050, soit une augmentation de 262 %.
• Social Change Lab (30%), qui mène des recherches sur les tactiques des mouvements sociaux (notamment les manifs et les actions disruptives), pour comprendre quelles interventions sont les plus efficaces pour peser positivement sur le débat public, influencer les politiques et accélérer le progrès social.
• Fish Welfare Initiative (30%), l'une des rares organisations à se consacrer exclusivement aux poissons d'élevage, ces derniers étant très nombreux à souffrir et à être tués chaque année pour servir l'alimentation humaine.

In a few days, I'll be celebrating my 29th birthday.

I'd like to invite all of you who have the means to do so to donate to causes close to my heart, via this birthday fundraiser 🥳

This year is particularly special, as I've been dedicated to the animals' cause for 10 years.

My goal is to raise $15 for every year of my new age, i.e. $435! *I'll match any donations above the goal* (so if the fundraiser reaches $535, I'll contribute $100 myself).

Participating in this fundraiser is an easy way to make myself truly happy, while supporting organizations specializing in helping animals. • Animal Advocacy Africa (40%), whose aim is to support and empower animal activists working to reduce the suffering of farmed animals in African countries. I was recently shocked to discover that, according to FAO projections, the population of terrestrial farm animals in Africa will rise from 2.6 billion in 2012 to 9.4 billion in 2050, an increase of 262%.
• Social Change Lab (30%), which researches the tactics of social movements (including demonstrations and disruptive actions), to understand which interventions are most effective in positively impacting public debate, influencing policy and accelerating positive social change.
• Fish Welfare Initiative (30%), one of the few organizations devoted exclusively to farmed fish, which suffer and are killed in vast numbers for human consumption.
