... is not about promoting yourself. It is about making it easier for others to act on values they already hold, and about normalising the idea that giving a meaningful share of our income can simply be part of an ordinary, good life.
Well, this is totally up to you! A short, honest post is the best way to go. Don’t let perfectionism stop you from doing it at all!
We’ve prepared a few questions to inspire you and get you thinking.
You can choose whatever style feels most comfortable, or mix a few ideas together. Here are some examples, from Alex, Harry and Céline.
If you find it hard to know where to start, you can use a large language model (like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini) to help draft your post. You might share a few bullet points (for example: why you pledged, what you were afraid of, how it has felt, any reactions from others) and ask it to turn them into a short LinkedIn post in your own tone of voice. You can also paste one of the questions from the guideline and say “use what you know about me to write 3–5 sentences about this, keeping it simple and sincere.” Then edit the draft to make it more yours

We've also refreshed our LinkedIn banner images, in case you’d like to highlight your pledge on your profile that way.
Whatever you do, tag Giving What We Can so we can see it and help amplify your message.

Then export just that page as a PNG (make sure you don’t export all pages) - here's a quick video tutorial.
