USU Student Club Effective Charity Walk-a-thon

Ethics and philosophy students have chosen Malaria Consortium as our fundraiser cause. After filling out a pledge sheet, submit your sponsor donations here and join us walking in laps around the Quad on 11/16 from 3-6 pm!

Malaria kills hundreds of thousands of people each year, and is a massive but preventable public health concern, especially in tropical locations. Malaria Consortium provides seasonal medication to prevent acquisition of the disease. They provide cost-effective prevention of malaria, where independent charity evaluator GiveWell estimates that the cost of protecting one child from malaria with their efforts is from $1.66-$7.
