Ethics and philosophy students have chosen Malaria Consortium as our fundraiser cause. After filling out a pledge sheet, submit your sponsor donations here and join us walking in laps around the Quad on 11/16 from 3-6 pm!
Malaria kills hundreds of thousands of people each year, and is a massive but preventable public health concern, especially in tropical locations. Malaria Consortium provides seasonal medication to prevent acquisition of the disease. They provide cost-effective prevention of malaria, where independent charity evaluator GiveWell estimates that the cost of protecting one child from malaria with their efforts is from $1.66-$7.
USUSA Philosophy Club and Effective Altruism are partnering up to help prevent malaria worldwide. Both clubs place an emphasis on thinking critically about the decisions we make in everyday life. Effective charity donations can be a powerful way to make an impact with your career and altruistic efforts. Join us!
