Thirty-Three for Charity!

Thanks to the amazing generosity of everyone who has contributed thus far, I've increased the goal to $1,500!

This year, I’m using my birthday on the 23rd of November as an opportunity to drive real change. Instead of gifts, I’m asking for your help to make a real positive difference in the world. By joining forces, we can protect hundreds of children from lead poisoning and help build a sustainable future through plant-based and cultivated meat alternatives.

Why These Causes?

• Lead poisoning currently affects 815 million children and causes 1.54 million deaths annually. To address this, LEEP conducts paint studies to gather country-specific data, supports governments in implementing lead paint regulations, and provides technical assistance to help manufacturers transition to lead-free products.
• GFI accelerates the transition of the world’s food system toward alternative proteins by developing and promoting plant- and cell-based alternatives to animal products. Their work reduces reliance on industrial animal farming, a major contributor to climate change, while promoting sustainable and secure food systems for the future.

What Your Support Will Achieve

With a goal of raising $1,000, even small contributions can make a meaningful difference. For example:

• $20 can protect more than 10 children from lead poisoning by helping LEEP remove dangerous lead sources in communities.
• $50 helps GFI continue its research and advocacy efforts, accelerating the transition to sustainable protein sources that are better for people and the planet.
