Prime Time for Wild Animals

On November 7th, I'm turning 29, which is the 10th prime number! To celebrate, I'm fundraising €100 for each prime number up to 29, totalling €1,000 for the Wild Animal Initiative.

Wild animals face immense suffering from harsh weather, diseases, injuries, accidents, and starvation. The Wild Animal Initiative tackles this pressing challenge by exploring the most fundamental questions in wild animal welfare science: What are wild animals' lives like? How can we measure their welfare? What can we do to improve their lives?

By conducting groundbreaking research and building a wider research community across disciplines like animal welfare science, ecology, animal behavior, and cognitive science, the Wild Animal Initiative is helping us understand how to genuinely improve wild animal well-being. This is work that is still largely overlooked, yet incredibly important.

As someone passionate about the well-being of all animals, I believe this is some of the most important work being done. Your contribution will help advance our understanding of wild animal welfare and support research that could ultimately reduce suffering for billions of wild animals. I'd be incredibly grateful for your support!
