On 29th March, I'll be running the Kew Gardens Half Marathon. This will be my second, and I have two goals: improve my time and raise more money than I did for my last race (£560 for the Marine Conservation Society).

I have chosen to fundraise for the Effective Animal Advocacy Fund, which is a fund that pools together the donations they receive and then distributes them to charities, projects and causes that they evaluate every quarter based on impact in the Animal Advocacy field. I have chosen to support a fund rather than a specific charity, since the people working for this fund continuously track the progress of their grants and also support budding projects that show potential in under-represented areas. This maximises the cost-effectiveness of the donation and ensures that the money we will raise will generate the biggest reduction in animal suffering possible.
