International Women's Day 2024

This #IWD, I'd like to challenge you to think beyond your workplace, your city, and your country and consider how we can effectively support and empower women across the globe.

At Giving What We Can, we support two programs that can dramatically improve women's lives (and prevent deaths) in low-income countries.

1. StrongMinds - who provide group talk therapy to women in Sub-Saharan Africa to treat depression in women who might not otherwise have access to treatment.

2. Family Empowerment Media - who run radio-based campaigns to improve knowledge about and attitudes to family planning to prevent maternal deaths and health burdens due to unintended pregnancies.

This fundraiser is split evenly between these two programs!
