Help transform global philanthropy and make a significant impact by joining Giving What We Can (GWWC) as our Growth Marketer. GWWC’s community of over 10,000 pledgers now donate over $50 million together yearly to highly effective charities. With a renewed focus on growth, we’ve set a Big Hairy Audacious Goal “BHAG” to grow our community to 1 million pledgers donating at least $3B yearly. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives on building growth initiatives from conception to completion and loves optimising every step of the funnel. If you don’t meet every qualification, but this type of work excites you, we encourage you to apply.
As our Growth Marketer, you'll be a swiss-army knife for growth initiatives—a strategic thinker with exceptional execution skills who can take projects from idea to measurable impact. You'll focus on building and optimising scalable growth channels that will help us reach audiences beyond the effective altruism community while maintaining our high standards for effective giving.
Working directly with our Chief Growth Officer, you'll have significant autonomy to identify opportunities, design experiments, and build the systems needed to scale our pledge growth. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and has a track record of driving measurable growth through data-driven experimentation. If you’re a proven and motivated self-starter, this could be your dream job.
In your first year, you might tackle projects like:
We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all the qualifications listed above. We value strong generalist learners and are happy to consider candidates who bring enthusiasm, alignment with our mission, and a willingness to grow into the role.
GWWC is a remote organisation, and this is a remote job. We welcome applicants with at least 4 hours of overlap with Central European Time (CET), to ensure effective collaboration with our existing team.
We employ a flexible schedule that works for you and your life. As an international team, we occasionally schedule meetings across time zones, but we're mindful of everyone's time boundaries. We focus on results rather than hours logged, and trust you to manage your workday in a way that allows you to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
This role offers significant creative freedom and the opportunity to directly impact one of the most important challenges of our time—getting more resources to the world's most effective solutions.
Here's a summary of the application process for a successful candidate:
Giving What We Can (GWWC) is working towards a world without preventable suffering or existential risk, where everyone is able to flourish. We do this by making giving effectively and significantly a cultural norm.
Founded in 2009, we are best known for the 🔸 10% Pledge, where nearly 10,000 people have committed to donating at least 10% of their lifetime income to highly effective charities. These 10% Pledgers and our broader community of pledgers are currently giving more than $50M USD to high-impact charities each year.
We are setting ourselves a Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) of 1 million pledgers donating $3B USD to high-impact charities annually. This would be roughly equivalent to 100x GWWC's current scale. It could be achieved by 1% of the world's richest 1% pledging and giving effectively. It would imply the equivalent of nearly 1 million lives being saved every year.
The current ~15 FTE global team is hardworking and mission-focused, with a strong commitment to both our team values and community values. In 2024, we launched a rebranded 10% Pledge and spun out from Effective Ventures to become our own legal entities in the US and UK. In 2025, we are reaching new audiences and laying the organisational foundations for scale that will ultimately help us achieve our BHAG.
GWWC is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity in our organisation. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability status. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure an inclusive and accessible recruitment process for all candidates, and we comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination.
