Welcome EAs, EA-adjacents, EA-adjacent-adjacents, and people who accidentally clicked on this link while scrolling! Whether you’re a shitposter, an ETGer, a shrimp welfare expert, or a Georgetown-affiliated AI governance researcher, this fundraiser has something for you!
This giving season, we wanted to lean into one of the things the EA community does best: raising money for organizations effectively addressing the world’s most pressing problems. The EA community is famous for having intense debates about cause prioritization, and the four of us are no exception. Unfortunately, the copy of Moral Uncertainty that Matt asked his mom to get him for Christmas hasn’t come yet, so we had to do our best with what we had. One thing we could all agree on is that there are billions of sentient animals whose wellbeing we can concretely improve, and very cost-effectively so. As a result, we've decided to give the proceeds of this fundraiser to the EA Funds Animal Welfare Fund, which was recently recommended as a top-rated evaluator based on GWWC’s research.
We hope you’ll join us in supporting this year’s fundraiser to show that EA twitter continues to not just be about the shitposts, but also about making a tangible difference in the world.
