Howdy friends! Those of you who know me know that in 2023 I cycled from Baltimore, MD to San Francisco, CA with Team Tahoe, supporting the Ulman Foundation. I am incredibly grateful for this life-changing experience for many reasons, particularly because it enabled me to be part of something much bigger than myself. Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of people, we collectively raised over $150,000 to support young adults with cancer. Now, as my human odometer approaches and ticks past 24 years, I am asking you to support Founders Pledge as a birthday present for me! Founders Pledge is an organization that, through their Climate Change Fund, holistically supports climate change mitigation and improvement efforts. They provide grants for a variety of high-impact organizations who specialize in addressing climate change in different ways. With this approach, Founders Pledge supports neglected and important areas that can have significant positive impact on our planet.

In April 2023, I officially pledged to donate 10% of my income to effective charities for the rest of my life. Since then, I haven't made a lot of money (lol) but I have successfully donated $365 to high-impact organizations. I'm so excited to say that by the end of this year, that total will be close to $2,000! Effective altruism, even on this relatively small scale, is very important to me and I would be thrilled if you helped me raise at least $10 for every year of my life -- I will match all donations up to my goal of $240! For every $10 raised I will walk one mile (if we raise $200, I will walk 20 miles in one day) and share the journey on my instagram (@happily.hayden)!
